Real Life Sometimes Gets In The Way

Hi

Just a quick post to explain my lack of activity over the last week.

On Sunday, one of my cats suffered a fracture to his leg and we spent most of Monday talking to the Vets about what the options were. Sadly it seemed that there were only three, put him down, cut it off or try and repair it. The last two options came with a risk as because of his health problems there was a high chance he wouldn’t come round from the anaesthetic. They also came with a high price tag.

We didn’t want him to suffer more than was needed but also wanted to give him every chance to recover so we went for option three, the full repair. Who needs new double glazing anyway?

I am pleased to report that Pigwidgeon came home on Friday night after a very tense few days and is now recovering in his loving home. He has to be in a cage for four weeks whilst the leg heals and we have to watch for nerve damage but at least he is back. A big thank you to North West Veterinary Surgeons in Runcorn and Vets for Pets in Royton for all the help.

Its like having a new born baby again though, he needs to be carried about to stop him being bored and hand fed on occasions to make him feel special. My husband is sleeping in the same room as him in case of emergencies and we are lighting scented candles constantly.

In all this commotion I am still trying to meet my targets and I’m five chapters away from completing Book Three. The artwork has started too.

Talking of Artwork we are going to run a special competition to Win a Signed Copy of the Cover Artwork soon. The question will be something about Book Two so get studying for a chance to win,
