Brass Neck

This is Book Three in the Saddleworth Vampire Series

In the eerie, once-peaceful village of Friarmere, overrun by shadows and supernatural dread, the stakes rise dramatically in ‘Brass Neck,’ the third thrilling instalment of the Saddleworth Vampire Series.

As the vampire apocalypse tightens its grip, a disparate group of survivors—including children—finds sanctuary within the hallowed and precarious walls of the local church. Here, amidst the smells of furniture polish, wet children, and old hymn books, they forge a fragile community under the leadership of Father Philip, who faces his own moral battles.

Outside, the village seethes with danger. From Sue’s unsettled home to the abandoned corridors of the local school, and the resource-rich yet perilous hardware store, the survivors navigate a village transformed into a battlefield. Under constant threat from the encroaching darkness, the band of friends, led by the heroic Bob, must make harrowing decisions. They devise daring plans to distract their relentless predators, rescue captives, and ultimately, seek a safer refuge.

Amid these trials, personal conflicts surface. Bob’s valour becomes a beacon of hope to the children and survivors, even as he confronts his nemesis, Adam, a former friend turned vampire, thirsting for revenge. Meanwhile, internal strife and the vampires’ cunning manoeuvres challenge the survivors’ unity and resolve.

‘Brass Neck’ delves deep into the human spirit’s capacity for courage and resilience in an unforgiving world. With each candle lit and every story told within the church’s sanctuary, the survivors not only plan their next move but also cling to the human warmth and stories that bind them.

As they prepare for a confrontation that could secure their future or doom them all, the fundamental question looms—can they outwit a foe who has infiltrated even their safest havens?
