The Big Day is Close

For all Brass Banders, one of the biggest days of the year is Whit Friday. Thousands of people, lots of bands and obviously non stop Brass Band Music in the World’s Greatest Free Music Event.

Hopefully, the weather will be lovely but I am seeing reports of some rain 🙁

I will be starting my day marching through Saddleworth with Diggle Massed Band playing on my trusty horn accompanying one of my Biggest Fans.

For the evening, I have been asked to sit with the Organisers of the Denshaw Contest as a special guest as there are many avid ‘Sticky Valves’ readers in this village and I am looking forward to meeting them all.
